Wood Ducks Revisted - Updated
I returned to Felsenthal NWR Friday morning and found the Wood Duck Pair had returned. Most of my shots were ok, but needed more light due to overcast conditions; however, the sun broke through for a minute and I managed to get this shot with good lighting and low ISO.

40D, 700mm, f6.3, 1/320s, ISO 200, uncropped.

I know we are not supposed to double post . . . but I could not resist. Here is a crop of this very handsome Drake.

This shot is SO sweet! The curved tree branch and the lower duck make this awesome... Nice ISO too!

Follow up image shot Saturday morning. Wood Duck pair returned, but this time they have unwanted company.

All three are nice Daniel but the most recent image is my favorite because it's showing the interaction between species. It doesn't hurt that the male wood duck looks great too. Fine capture, I really like it! :toast:

Excellent Daniel. I too like the last image, very unusual.
