Hello Craig
Very nice I like the backlighting and the comp is spot on. I have never been called lovely before really nice meeting you and I am glad to be of assistance. I didn't realise you have only been at this game for a few months so well done, your pictures are coming on in leaps and bounds and you have a natural eye for a good composition. I always say there is three ingredients to understanding a good photo, subject, comp and the main one light crack that and your pictures will improve vastly.

That's very nice Craig. I like the sense of the place and the comp is spot on. I must have a go at these one day.
A good image Craig.
I really like the setting too.
I reckon this would work well with a very slight crop off of the top to just below the largest specular highlights.
Very nice shot, spot on composition, perhaps could have done with a tiny bit of fill flash.

Nice shot ,but the bird is a bit "under" but that's maybe the over powering high lights in the background thats making it more apparent..
Keep at it. You'll get there.
Needs some off the top as others have suggested,

Very nice! Great composition as mentioned, I agree you could crop a tiny bit off the top to get rid of the really bright highlights. I feel that the exposure is very well handled considering what looks like a difficult lighting situation!

Great shot. I think you could open up the detail around the eye a touch in Photoshop using layer masks and just 'burning in' the area you want to lighten.
