Finally got out to shoot these flowers yesterday even though they have been around for a couple weeks. I wound up going down to the Alabamas yesterday and couple other places which I wrote up in a quick blog entry.

Happy Easter!

Lovely image, Cory. I'm looking forward to doing some shooting along 395,
particularly after seeing this image. It looks like you took advantage of good
even lighting. The blue in the sky goes well with the yellow wildflowers and
the rust color in the mountain.

Cory,
This looks great. Nice composition. Any idea when the iris will start to bIoom? Best Regards.

Nice Cory, I love the colors throughout this scene.

I'm also curious as to the iris - also, where is the best area to see them generally?

Fantastic colors Cory. Those flowers look similar to the ones I saw at Joshua Tree last year.

thanks guys! I really like the primary colors and the early am sunlight really makes it pop.

I'm keeping an eye on the flowers as they show up here btwn indy & bishop and will post updates on my blog. last year the iris started showing up a couple weeks b4 mothers day if I remember correctly. I just checked on them this morning, the ones off brochman lane, and the green shoots are showing up now. Still too early though.

@floris: the ones off brochman lane, north of 395 are usually pretty good but attract a lot of people. Round Valley is another good spot as well. I'm sure others who are into flowers know of more places than I.
