But there is no problem, I’ll do what I can to get you an image or two, so that you can see if wildlife photography is truly for you.
Don’t worry about equipment, I, like most, have a backup set available, you can use that.
Looking at your name, and the generality of your post, I think it best if we meet up first.
There is a pub just up from the station, on Station Road, Hampton, called “The Worlds End”, it has quite a nice beer garden, I think that would be suitable if you agree. It happens to be just around the corner from where my daughter lives, I’m usually over there twice a week, so I can kill two birds at once, so to speak.

Nice shot ray, the tiny bit of foliage adds a certain something.

Very nice shot Ray, good colours and nice clean background!
Yes, I agree - this is your best yet. Just superb!

Nice image Ray,but a little hard (contrasty )on my gear and maybe just a tad too far right.
The perch seems a little un natural but I can't really put it into words.
Still a good attempt at a bird which I find is not easy to get right.
They look "pretty" but it doesn't often come out right.

I’ve sent you an e-mail.
Just in case you don’t receive it, it is my first attempt.
Can I ask a favour.
I see that this picture was taken at Kempton Park, I live in Hampton, and if possible, can I come along with you on a few local trips ??
I am a complete beginner, and I really want to know if photographing wildlife is for me, before I spend any money.
Hope you can help me.
I really like your picture.
Terri
Thats a fine portrait of a Goldfinch. Colours look lovely.

Rob
