Displaying goldeneye
Got a bit of a thing at the moment about small in the frame stuff which I realise is often a euphemism for 'can't get close enough!'
Very cold this morning in the Highlands and lots of mist over the Spey. A group of 4/5 goldeneye were displaying just offshore at Loch Insh. Mist everywhere, blue light, osprey calling in the background - magic!

Canon 1dII, 70-200mm lens, ISO200

 After I uploaded mine I come across yours. Great stuff and I really like the idea.

Well done Peter. The mist works well here.

Lovely image Peter, I know what you mean about small in the frame stuff it always works providing the composition is good which in this case is spot on :toast:

I can feel the mood here. In fact I spent a happy few hours doing the same thing at Loch Tummel this weekend. Nice rising mist for a short time. Got some nice shots, but not the one in the mist I hoped for.

Very nice indeed. Small in the frame works superbly here.
