LOTS of ice damage if you come in from the top. Not for the faint of heart.

Beautiful shot, Tim, certainly worth your efforts. It looks like you used all the allowable pixels on this one! The silkly water really looks great in your capture. By the way I checked the time stamp on my Daives Bridge shots and I was there from 10:40am until exactly 11:00am on Friday. I guess we just missed each other.
I was just guessing at the time I was there - could have been before or after. My image computer is in the other building and the frogs are making too much noise tonight for me to cross the compound to go check it - they are sounding pretty scary, like we're headed for a big snowstorm or something!
This image is a five or six shot stitch. It was tough to stand up in the water - those smooth rocks underwater are so slick anyway, then add the slimy algae and fast water and numb limbs. I spent entirely too much time at this falls today - it was probably the best waterfall day of the year and I should have been elsewhere, but the sound and the spray and the incredible light kept me there. I've got a movie of this and triple falls I'll post on the Journal tonight or in the morning.
Probably good advice for many of the waterfalls nowadays...I'd like to see this one, but guess I'll have to come in from Erbie. Maybe you should write a post ice storm waterfalls guidebook?
Looks like things are greening up nicely. Love the backlit green leaves that look like little jewels. Easy to see how you could spend a lot of time here...it doesn't look cold!
Perfect light and color. Heading to Petite Jean Thursday, would be nice to have some of this light.

I love the light inside the middle of the canyon. It almost seems like the light is reflected from the water. That's gotta be a good 60-90 mega pixels!
