Afternoon at the Lake
Had to get out and enjoy the nice weather yesterday, so i went for a walk at Lake Pueblo and took some late afternoon and sunset shots. Here's the sunset.

All sorts of interesting alcoves around the lake!

The late afternoon light was quite golden on the cliffs, made for an interesting reflection. Now, what to do the end of the week--head for the hills for the snow, or the plains for the storms...

Wonderful colour in all 3 of thse images Stan, I particularly like the ripples and gradient of colour in #3!. I like the comp. in #1, I may be tempted to clone out the grass very bottom right.
Is it getting into thunderstorm season in the plains now?.

Yep, its that time of year! Looks like the strong storms will stay south and east of us this time, but i might be tempted to take a drive if it looks good enough.

Very nice! Great color. I like the design in the third image.

I like #1 and #3 the best :toast:

I really like the colors and contrast in #3. Looks like a nice afternoon walk!

Love #3 the way the teasel heads are mostly sequestered to the blue side allowing the gold side to serve as an appropriate ceiling.

All these are very nice, but I love the serenity of the first one. Just makes me want to set up my tent and spend the night there!

All three are wonderful, Stan. I especially like the perspective in #2 and the moodiness of #3. Another botany lesson: the plants in the water in #3 are last year's spent Common Sunflower.

Cheers....Gail.

As always, good work, Stan. Of the three I like 1 and 3 the most. It's hard to beat the
color combination of blue and orange. I like the position of the snag in the #1. in #3
I like the irrregular patterns and lines.

I really like #1. Makes me want to pull up a folding chair and sit there for awhile.

I dig the abstract shapes/colors of #3!

Stan I love #1. You got some nice detail in the snag in the water. Did you pop a flash on it?
Beautiful color throughout.

Those are some beautiful shots, Stan. No favorite as they are such different shots. Well done.

Wow - #3 is just awesome. And that's saying something because #1 is no slouch of an image!

Thanks Guys! Ive finished processing the rest and posted a 4th shot on ESS. Rod-no flash, the log was pretty white/shiny so it was reflecting a bit of light to begin with, i didnt even have to dodge it. The only thing i did exposure-wise in #1 was to use a half stop digital gnd for the sky.

#3 is just great Stan, well done.
