Garden blackbird
technically rather poor, this was a remote set up and i had focused a little in front of where the bird showed, still it's not so noticeable at this size, more interested to know what people think of the set up, does it work? does it look realistic?

40D + 300mm F4L

I like the idea Jack and for me the image and set-up works well. The ivy is a very welcome addition to the scene.

I like it, the birds eyes are in focus and sharp, it could have done with a bit more dof but it still works as it is.

I like the idea too, but I find that the brick and the pot conflict. Perhaps a more natural perch, leaving the pot to tell the story?

Yes I think maybe better without the pot.
Good one though.
Marks for trying as well.

Works fairly well Jack other than the rendering left on the old brick perhaps.
I can see some thought has gone into it and who knows next time you may hit the jackpot.

I like it but perhaps lose the brick?
