I'm heading up to the tulip fields in Woodland on Saturday and probably Sunday morning as well if anyone is interested in joining.

Ned, If i dont work the weekend, i could show up sunday, will know later in the week if i work or not. Even could take a few hours off saturday morning to make it, busy schedule right now though so wont know till later this week. Work graveyard. :)
I'm busy both days, but FYI, Woodburn is still green and late so they extended their tulip festival until May 3.

They are behind in color but this weekend looks like it will be prime conditions. Here is their latest news: http://www.woodenshoe.com/fieldreport.html
Ned, I might meet you there. Send me a note to discuss timing.

I'll drop you a line, John - but my plan was to actually head up to the fields at Woodland - much closer for me...
I'll be in Portland this weekend. My girlfriend and I are planning on heading up to woodland before looking at some houses in Vancouver. Not sure if i can con her into getting up for a sunrise shoot though......girls and their beauty sleep.
Maybe I'll see you around.

What time do you usually show up Ned? And is there a name for the place? :)

I'll be there right at first light - probably when it is just starting to be light enough to shoot. The fields are not as huge as Oregon's, but the quality is good. I mainly shoot close-ups and small groupings anyway - not so much the full fields. I try to beat the harsh light and the wind that begins to kick up. Here is a link to the fields: http://lewisriver.com/tulipfestival/ I'll be there both mornings.

The fields still have a bit to go before they totally bloom. The display garden is excellent right now. I shot this morning and this evening - very good light both visits. It was nice meeting you, Cliff!
