Well, I am happy to say that I am part of 1st Thursday in the Pearl District on May 7! BUT, that means I need to do a lot to get ready.
I'll be presenting my images at Filson's in frames on the wall and on a front table as well as at the front door.
I can get the pictures ready, but I was wondering if anyone had an easel for both the floor and tabletop as well as a photobin (where matted prints are there for people to peruse through) who was willing to lend? I don't plan to do this kind of thing too much so I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy it.
Anyways, if you're in town, I'll be there at 6 PM.
Thanks!
Kevin

Congrats on your first show! I just had mine at a first thursdays in the pearl at albina bank in March and it went great. Despite the rainy weather many people still came in an out. There are people who just go around and look at all of it so you may be surprised by the turnout. Sorry, I don't have any of the items you need but I just wanted to wish you luck!
Thanks, Austin. Were people in a buying mood (did things sell well)?
Does anyone know if this can be rented? I guess I could CL it when I'm done.

Sorry I can't help with the equipment. I had it all, but donated it to the gallery I just left.

I don't think many people are really buying in this economy but who knows. I sold one framed print to a friend of mine and I sold two 16x20 prints to a lady that works at the bank where my photos were on display.

Kevin, I hope your show goes well. You might try calling Interstate Rentals (http://isevents.com/) if you can't borrow any. I needed a whole bunch of easels for a show at the Governor last year and I rented from them for the ones I could not borrow. They are just plain silver, nothing fancy. I think it was like $10 a piece. Good luck.
