I am considering buy my 1st printer, and am considering these 2 models, however when I read some reviews on the web, and here is an example: review conclusion of both printers, and it seems that Epson 1400 does a nice job, I don't know if Epson 1900 justifies money. difference.

If you have any experience with one of these models I would love to read your feedback.

Thanks

Pedro - I don't have any real insights between those models (I have a Canon), but the main thing you probably need to note is that one is a dye ink printer, and one is a pigment ink printer. If you're very concerned about longevity (or if you think your customers are), you probably should go with a pigment ink printer. Otherwise dye ink usually has a slight advantage in gamut, lack ofprinter clogs, and lack of print issues (bronzing, metamerism). But from the little I've seen, the differences are minor in my opinion. I do like that I don't worry as much about clogs, being only an occasional printer.

I love my 1900; it reproduces the colors seen on my calibratred monitor extremely faithfully. Since I bought it from Epson as a refurbished printer I got a great bargain.
I have never had any clogging problems with mine.

In printing B/W, like the review states, there is usually a strong color cast to the monochrome prints. As with any good printer it is important to use the correct profile. If using Photoshop, it is important to give control to the software, not the printer. The manual gives excellent instructions regarding this.
