Another shot from my Buffalo area trip a couple of weekends ago. I had been to Smith Creek twice before, but never at any semblance of good water levels. Today was very different. I am confident I could shoot in here for years when there is good water levels and never get bored. Tim Ernst took a group of us in there and it was just 4 hours of bliss for all. And it was NICE to get to drive down to the parking area right by the creek.

Definitely into the realm of turbulent flow! No laminar flow characteristics here! Lots of froth and foam. Nice capture.

Bob, nice shot. I know this spot well and it is one my favorite places in Smith Creek. Your correct lots to see and photograph in this area.
I really like your composition here, Bob - great balance. Seems like everyone that attends one of Tim's workshops comes away with some very nice, and unique images. Keep up the good work!

Very nice composition Bob. I like your choice of shutter speed and perspective. Well done.
Richland Creek is an amazing place when water's flowing ... down the stream, not pouring from the sky, right guys!
