Thank's Jack
I must admit its hard to understand sometimes. Obviously my tastes are very different from the norm. The thing is not to take it to heart ! Maybe its so perfect that no one can find anything to say !!! (Joke!)

A very nice image John and the light on the bird looks particularly attractive. I also like the green folliage at opposite corners which, I feel, is a welcome addition to the scene.

Yes its a sad fact that this forum seems to support its share of people that appear to only comment on certain individuals work and there are others that post and give very little back. I understand that sometimes time rules for some including myself but I am currently posting this during work, I shouldnt be doing so. I have to say that I am guilty of going down the root of the above at times but perhaps we all need a kick up the backside. Mods I dont see to much in the way of comments on the lack of critique after all its in your guide lines.
Now back to Johns image.
For me I cannot get used to that square format John. Perhaps its because I only remember photographs as being mainly landscape, but the bird is looking good all be it a bit forlorn.

Thanks
Interesting points major.
I could crop it landscape but it would cut out the top leaves which I quite liked.
PS The bird is looking forlorn because another one has nicked her bathing spot !
Cheers

Very nice, I like the surrounding foliage as it adds context. Loads of detail as usual!

I often don't understand why some images get overlooked but you're right you should never take it to heart!
