Ospreys Mating (with update)
1D2n, 600mm f4 is x1.4, 1/500s, f8, iso 200.

Found a promising new site  . No doubt I'll be back to see the results of this encounter!

Larger version here

Update - just learned I need I licence to photograph ospreys at the nest  I have already made enquiries!

Certainly need to see the large version to appreciate the birds. I'm not keen on the composition, I'd be tempted to try a portrait crop.

At times an image doesn't have to fill the frame or be lit perfectly... the action/behaviour captured comes to the fore....

I said it only last week, this is another example of superb wildlife photography.... particularly if you have scouted out the site for yourself.....
