Water Vole

After a fruitless search for Adders on Saturday morning, too cold I think, my good friend Lee Newman and myself headed down Derbyshire way for a spot of vole watching and the voles didn't disappoint, we had some real close views of these cracking little creatures.

I think we bumped into Paul Gibbs, though I'm not sure, if it was you Paul, very pleased to meet you, I was the bloke looking for crocodiles  nice to meet Andy Snape again too, when are we going to see some shots Andy?? now that you have registered on UKNP there's no excuse not to post a couple

Converted in DPP / Processed in CS2 ( slight crop for comp )

Thanks for looking

Hi Andy - I think the water makes this shot for me - it has a nice glossy feel to me. I have to say my eye is going to the orange leaf a bit though other than that though its a fine composition. :toast:

I was waiting for comments re the leaf Ian, rather than botch a clone job I decided to leave it in, though I fully understand what you mean, it does draw the eye a little.

Like this very much. A lovely colourful, setting and it's good to see this one doesn't have a stockpile of reeds in front of it allowing you the reflection. Very nice,

Very nice... would also have worked in portrait.... (you probably have those as well)... those derbyshire canals really give nice settings for these.

This is nice Andy if perhaps a little bright but I am sure that can be rectified easily. :toast:

Hi Andy, nice to meet you too. I've been busy so not posted my images yet. Very nice shot. I didnt want, to post an image and three others post the same image... it was like the rodent paparazzi.
