Captured this image at Crown Hill Park last night. Have been having good luck there recently. I always like to take advantage of areas that are so close. Thanks for looking.

Also caught this flock of pelicans foraging for fish. Really interesting to watch them feed in a group.
I like your 2nd shot! I think this group of Pelicans (or one like it) spends some time up here in Broomfield. I've tried a couple of times to get a shot, but haven't come up with anything close.

I like the RWBB shot. Good job on keep the details in the blacks. Thats tough to do with these birds.
The bi-color patch on the Red-winged BB is very striking and the wing extension makes for a great pose. Great capture. Those pelicans looks like they're planning something.

Both these images are really nice Dan, but I dig #2!. I have some ponds close by too that these birds frequent, you've given me some inspiration to get out there with the long lens.

I really like the simple composition on the rwbb shot. My only small nit is that it seems to be lacking a bit in contrast. I understand that you're probably trying to preserve the details, but I think you could still do that and add a bit of punch back to the image. You're second shot really makes me miss some of the lakes I used to frequent back in Minnesota where you'd literally find hundreds of them in a flock.
