Shi Shi dawn
Finally broke down and bought a scanner in order to put my aging and fading transparencies to work on a website I am currently having built. This is from a few years ago. While I thoroughly enjoy digital there is something I really miss about film, Velvia in particular.

Pentax 645
Velvia 50

Wonderful shot Mark, I like the sky and it's reflection along with a hint of mist. Great color!

I hear you. What a great shot and a perfect example of what there is to miss about film.

That's a beautiful shot, Mark. Soft, beautiful light. I love this spot on the coast very much....

Colors, soft light, clouds, reflection, mist are all great. Looks incredibly peaceful. A print would look awesome. One critique I have is the FG. For me it's a little disconnected from the BG, and don't have a lot of interest in itself. However I think this shot would work great as a pano, cropping out the FG to emphasize the reflection.

Gorgeous! Love the composition, misty sea air and beautiful pastels.

Just couldn't help taking a side trip over to the Pacific Northwest site. Great image the Pastel colors are great! You don't have to totally give up film I'm still shooting with my EOS 1v along with my EOS 5D. Can't get much for my 1V might as well keep it for backup and enjoy it. When I do shoot slides I don't have to spend hours in post processing which is a plus. While I'm here I must complement the photographers on this site for the great work they produce :toast:

What the others said about the pallet... Very effective foreground. A winner for sure.
