Here's one from yesterday evening, I am well aware that perhaps the yellows of the Gorse is a little overpowering but I would like to know your thoughts anyway.

Like the background/comp drew and the bird looks great, the blue sky breaks it up nice, well done

A very nice colourful image Drew, though I feel the gorse is a little overpowering, it's a personal taste thing, but no big deal.

An unusual shot of the chaffinch, I think it works ok. I might have been inclined to take a tad off the top.
Thanks for your comments, they are greatly appreciated. Do people think I have over sharpened just a tad?
The crop works well to and I think as already mentioned much of the image will be determined by personal preferences such as too much gorse of a slightly tighter crop. Thank you for your advice and comments.
