Boxing hares
24 hrs later and I've just about stopped kicking myself. I was at the ever reliable Elmley. Working from the car when I saw one of these two trundling down the road. I followed, at a respectful distance, hoping he'd settle in range. Neither of us had seen what I assume was Ms Hare who rose from the grass and laid into him. By the time I'd spun the camera to portrait it was all over. Hence no feet *%@!. Managed four frames of which this is the best. Still something I've never captured before.

Fantastic action Jon! Just the right amount of blur and I love the flying fur. I agree it's a shame about the feet, and I find it a bit tight on top - too bad you didn't manage any verticals.

Hear what you're saying about the feet Jon but still a great action shot. Great grab shot.

As you say, pity about the feet, otherwise an excellent capture.

when will they ever learn that no means no! :argue:

Last time for I saw this happen I was so captivated by it, I forgot to take a picture  Nicely caught.

Top drawer action shot. I've done it myself and it's so annoying. I usually have a converter on when it kicks off too close. I notice you had a 1.4x on as well.

How infuriating. A great shot apart from the obvious, but still well worth having in the bank to back up the memories. Especially like the flying fur and the closed eyes.

A shot that a few of us have been trying to achieve for a long time! I am glad someone has managed it, feet or no feet.
A super image, and the flying fur is a bonus. Green with envy here...nice one.

very nice shot, shame about the feet and it does feel tight at the top, but we all get caught out from time to time, a subject i havent tried yet.

Real pity about the feet but at least you had the balls to post a less than perfect image to this forum. If it is any consolation at all, most of us get nowhere near capturing this fantastic piece of behaviour, despite trying very hard.

Cheers,
Chris

I think that would be just my luck too, still a fine capture though and I love the little tuft of flying fur.

Regards
Terry.

Very well caught. Better to have 95% of the action than no action I would say.

Cheers
