Petit Jean Last Week
Here are a few from my trip to Petit Jean last week. I am guessing the leaves at the falls will be peak in a week or two.

I am going to try and go back when I return from Smokys Mtns if we get some rain between now and then.

I tried fogging the lens on this one and it sort of worked.

Just for fun, looking up along the Cedar Falls Trail. Sorry for the jpg artifacts, had to size it down.

Nice.

I like the foggy look of the second one best. That soft focus from the fog and green of the leaves really make a good combo. Well done!

I'm glad you mentioned the "man made fog" on the second image Ed. You would have had me scratching my head for awhile. I like that shot a lot and think you could have gone just a bit futher with the effect. Thanks for sharing!

Wow fogging the lens on purpose? It just seems weird to me, I have been shooting in rainy humid conditions so much lately that it seems like all I have done is fight a foggy lens.

Ed, I can't put my finger on why but these don't seem to be up to your usual standards on my display. Something about the color or lack of color or over sharpened, just can't say what it is, sorry.

Larry, It might be because there is not much color there yet. Everything was washed clean by last years floods I guess.
