The past week the Fauna Gallery hosted three splendid images of the largest living land-dwelling animals; elephants!

Billy Fairburn started off with his creative motion blur image titled ’Elephants in Motion’ Billy has been experimenting lately with motion blurs and of the ones he has posted this was by far the most successful one.

Ajit Huilgol experienced how it feels to be charged by an elephant and posted an image of this elephant in incredible lighting in his post ‘Asiatic elephant charge!’. This image is a good example where a sky with blown out highlights can actually ‘work’ well as opposed to ruining the image.

The third striking elephant image came from Jagdeep Rajput with his image ’Indian Elephant calf’. This calf with the most remarkable and funny facial expression (with what looks like squinting eyes), is superbly framed by its mothers legs and body.

Apart from the elephants, Nik Zinoviev’s compelling portrait image of a big male lion, titled ‘Mr. King’ deserves an honorable mention.

Making a choice for the EP this week was not easy, but the most striking post last week in my humble opinion was Ajit Huilgol’s ‘Sloth bear cubs’. The lighting situation was not the most ideal, however, it is clear that this image obtains its attractiveness from the cuteness of these adorable cubs with their tale-telling facial expressions. An image that can make one laugh!

Congrats to all!

Cheers, :toast:

Wow! It's a great honour to be mentioned twice in the same week! You've made my week, nay, my year! Thank you!
