Peregrine Falcon
Not been about for a while, due to being over worked lol but paid a visit to a Pere site after being told about it by a friend (Thanks Pete :))

It spent most of the day perched, or totally out of site, but for a few seconds it basically flew right over our heads.

I think i need to revisit the site again :) We thought the bird was on its own until it came back with what looked like a collared dove, and the Female came out too, will have to post one of those pics a bit later :)

1d Mk3, 600 F4 with 1.4 TC, F5.6, ISO 200, 1/2000th

Nice overall image Ian. Good positioning in the frame and nice detail under the wings.

I’m sure your highly chuffed with this, I would be, an excellent capture by any standard. Really great flight shot.

Nicely composed and exposed. I'll be more impressed if you were handholding a 600mm!

Jon, sorry i should have said it was handheld.............i would have been a liar though ;) I can handhold it for a couple of seconds, but it gets brewers droop quite quickly after that lol

Thanks all for the comments, was my closest ever encounter with a wild Peregrine, and am hoping to repeat it soon :)
