Texas has Bluebonnets and it seems that Arkansas is turning into the clover state. All down the interstates the highway dept has improved the scenery a bit. We have a new on-ramp to I-40 that was finished last year and this year it is in full bloom.
FYI. the Prothonotary Warbler's are in full force near Conway. They hang around swamps, so you might check out your local lowlands if you have them. I counted between 10-15 birds in one small area. They are not camera shy. They are fast and hard to follow. Anyone interested?

Very cool Mike. I actually found myself shooting a field of clover here in Kansas last weekend. I think there are nice opportunities with some so simple and so prevalent.
Nice job in seeing the opportunity and taking time to capture it.

Nice image of the clover. I enjoyed your swamp photos too . . . especially the warblers photos. I am going to Lafayette, LA, Thursday and Friday. Perhaps I will see some there.
I have been told by many people that I need to stop here and take some picture's just haven't done it yet, maybe today is the day. I have a 55-200 on loan right now (not the furthest reaching lens but it's the longest I have) so I may have to check out the warblers too
Nice shot, Mike! I keep telling myself I need to try and get some shots of the clover around here but just haven't done it. Maybe next week.
Count me in on searching out the warblers with you! I'm leaving for vacation next Friday (the 1st) so if you've got some time before then give me a call. If not, maybe after we return the 10th.
Good work!

Nice of you to share this Mike. I've noticed a concerted effort along the interstates around the midwest to spruce up the road sides with wildflowers and landscaping. It's nice to see these efforts being made because it not only beautifies these stressful roadways, it has to help support more bees & butterflies and the likes.
