Adder fighting
These two males were fighting over a female, and the fight went on for about ten minutes it was extremely difficult to photograph as these are wild animals taken in the wild, altogether there was approximately 6 males and two females along with a slow worm and a couple of common lizards.

Phil.

Ps there will be more to come from the encounter.

D700 sigma 180 macro 1/250th @ f11 iso400 + .3ev.

An event to behold no doubt .I would find it difficult to convey the emotion of the fight if I'd have been there too. As an image of the conflict , it's not coming across as savage.Should it?
Thanks for sharing this Phil I'd not have known they actually do this.
