So, I've sold images that have been used in funky ways, but a recent one takes the cake. At my work, we were asked by the City of Denver to wrap graphics on a street sweeper that will be used as a display and promotional vehicle. The salesperson came to me knowing I had some images that might work for their idea. Two images were used, and were tweaked quite a bit to meld together and fit the weird angles. These are the two original images: Porphyry Basin and American Basin.
Anyway, they had it on display downtown for Earth Day yesterday, so went to check it in person for the first time and take some pics. It was fun to hang out and see everybody's reaction to it! Thanks for looking!
After I took a bunch of pictures, I saw a huge posse of folks in suits heading my way. Turns out it was Mayor Hickenlooper checking out the Earth Day festivities. He hopped on the sweeper for a photo op. He wanted to drive it, but they said no.
Pamela & Bert -- The images are printed on a self adhesive material with a large format HP printer in about 40" panels, and laminated for protection. Our install guys then basically squeegee the material on sorta like wallpaper. I"ll try to find some pics of them doing that if I can later.
Jack, I SOO wish the stock calculators had street sweeper listed! Would have made it a whole lot easier to price!

Todd, didn't get to talk to him, that would have been cool! He was too busy shaking little kids hands! :)
Don, no photo credit on the sweeper itself, but I will on the brochures they are making to hand out later.
I wonder if the stock pricing calculators have a "street sweepers" category???
Very very cool!!
