I have a set of Gitzo Explorer CF legs, and at the top where you can unhinge and swing the legs up or down, one of the legs does not stay locked even when the flip clamp is clamped tight. (for those of you with this type of tripod you'll get what I mean) Is this something I can fix myself or do I need to hang these legs up and get new ones? Any help/tips would be appreciated, thanks!

I have the exact same situation. You need to tighten the nut, or something like that. I don't have the tripod in front of me now, but I will tonite, and I will be more specific in my next reply.

UPDATE:

OK, there's a single nut on the backside of the leg right around from the flp-lever. Get an 8mm (or 5/16") wrench. and tighten it slightly until you get the grip you want from the lever.
