Trying to fit in some photography in between real life, taking the odd hour here and there means getting up early and getting into work late ! roll on redundancy !

Was actually trying to capture some of the swallows and swifts as I figured the cold and the mist might have slowed them down a little, not a chance

Anyhow, here's probably the only decent shot out of the 6gbs worth

Techs are D300, Sigma 120-300 with 2X convertor, focal length 360mm, 1/320 at F7.1 200asa

Hi Steve,
I'm not sure about this picture. It does not give me a wow-feeling.
May when you do some cropping right and bottom.
Sorry I could not resist doing it :) but this is what I meant.
Grt.

No problem Tom, it certainly wasn't a wow kind of day, I still prefer my crop but cheers anyway

Lovely - I think it needs the space to convey the mood. Not sure if it is level, judging by the mist?

I like the wing positions on this and the open space feeling.

Thanks for sharing

Definitely looks like you were falling over when you took this one, but apart from that easily rectified nit I really like it. I agree with Tom's suggestion re the crop as well. A few artefacts around the birds as well, but a lovely early morning feel to it.
