I have been editing pix for a week now, rodeo pix, and when I go to fix some of the eyes, I use the clone stamp to remove the white eye, put in a black eye and then use the smallest size brush to put the glint back in the eye. This morning I got up to work on it, put a black eye on one of the bulls and when i go to put the white glint in the eye, it does not work. I can clone any other color but It will not clone white and will not mark over the black. Any ideas on how to fix this and why it is happening now? It has always worked in the past. Help!
Thank you!

First guess would be that you somehow changed to blending mode of the layer you are working on.
make sure it is set to normal.
