Wood anemone
D300 w. Sigma 150 2.8 & 36mm ext tube
Fill flash w. 2 x SB-R200
1/80 @ f10 ISO 400
handheld

Don't usually use flash for flowers but was set up for insects and noticed this anemone with a nice clear bg.

That's beautiful !
It's amazing how a simple flower can make such a great shot.!
Spot on exposure on the white too.
Well done !

This really is very nice Malcolm, excellent use of flash, which has given real depth to the image, the BG is very complimentary too and as for the exposure, thats nailed!!

Very nice...perhaps a touch more DoF but that is minor, well composed, nice PoV and good exposure.....

A very nice image with good exposure on the whites. Was photographing these myself today, didn't realise how awkward they are!

Good 3D feel here, especially like the way the yellow bits are defined. Wish the leaf was whole though.
Very nice though.

Beautiful shot, you've captured the light really well. I have to agree with Tim though; it would've been nice to have the flower higher in the frame to avoid the cutting off of the leaf at the bottom.
