A couple pics from the gathering. These are the only two I have worked on yet. I am a little bit worn out.

I want to say thanks to Rod for letting everyone use his cabin. Everyone else, I had a wonderful time and I can't wait for the next gathering.

By the way that Nikon 55-200 that I fell in the creek with is working now.

I didn't even think to ask if you guys had found azaleas! I'm with Brian, that creek is good!

Looks like I should have followed you up that drainage. Rod and I didn't have much luck finding any new wildflowers to shoot along the trail. Luckily Aaron had hypnotized a butterfly to sit still and pose for us, so it wasn't a complete bust. Good job on both shots.

Matthew both shots are very nice. I really like your wild azealas. I am glad that your lense dried out!

Matt,
Glad you enjoyed the cabin.
Great shot of the azealas. I'm hoping they'll bloom soon at Hammerschmidt.

Hey Matthew, I'm with the others - I didn't know you found azaleas !!!! The creek shot has a nice balance of water and green. Well done. Nice meeting you and I'm glad the lens dried out. It must have been the clean air that did it.

Hey Matthew the azaleas image is really beautiful. The DOF is great and really makes the blooms stand out. It was great to meet you.

Nice work on both counts Matthew. Good dof and sharpness on the azaleas and the shot of Richland Creek is a classic. It's hard to leave that area. Looking forward to seeing more from the area!

I found the azaleas up the first drainage that comes into Lost Valley on the right. I ended up going all the way to the top of the mountain, I was sort of looking for an overlook that Bruce had mentioned Saturday evening. I found a few little vistas that looked over the valley, but I don't think I found the same one as Bruce.

Beautiful shot of the azaleas, Matt - great depth and color. And the Smith Creek waterfall is nicely done too.

It was nice to meet you and everyone else last weekend. See you this fall...

Thanks everyone.

Aaron thanks for the camera and all the great lenses, I really had fun trying the new stuff. Best Buy came back to there senses and put the price back at 600 so I may get one.
