Hi Folks,

Have been away for a couple of weeks doing some field work all over the country. On Saturday I met up with Tony Flashman, Phil Hurst, Fran French, Ian Andrews etc.. We had a nice catch up at a local reserve where I pictured this male grass snake. He had a large bulge in his stomach which I assume was probably one of the many great crested newts that are present in the pond..! No-one told him they are a protected species..!

Anyway, hope you are all well and I'm looking forward to trawling your recent uploads.

Kind regards,

Brett

Super looking snake image Brett. Nicely captured with its tongue out & love the details especially the eye.

Nice image Brett, now I know why you looked so chuffed

Great shot and the tongue is a nice bonus. Not easy to capture. Well done.

Nicely positioned, Brett. POV and DOF very nicely handled. You are clearly getting to grips with your new camera.

Nice shot, good framing, great stalking. Had one of these in the pond at the weekend, but didn't oblige in a photographic sense!
