Nice shot Kim. Looks a tad soft on my monitor but no big deal

A bit soft indeed and the light was a bit harsh I think but you did very well keeping it balanced.

Nice work :wavey:

A good looking, well composed image showing the bird in nice surroundings with a good clean BG.
Breast looks sharp but the head slightly soft.
Still a nice image.

Nice looking bird, are they a UK species? Never seen one up here in Yorkshire. Send them up.

Kim

A very nice shot, I don't see the softness could it be variations in monitor settings?

Very nice image. You must have got really close. I agree the breast appears crisper than the head - presumably the autofocus fixed there? I would be tempted to lose the white patch just above the neck.

Hi and thanks for the comments - I guess it is my lack of sharpenning rather than focus - will have another go tomorrow!! Am always concerned that I might over sharpen!

Good stuff Kim
The head does look a little softer. Was this a crop ? I would have it a little smaller in the frame if poss. That will make it sharper anyway.
See you Wednesday.

Nit covered, but sounds like you'll fix that. Really nice shot of a bird I have never seen.
