Here is a little different view of Triple Falls taken on Friday night of the Gathering. It was almost dark when I shot this, but I kind of like the dream like effect that it produced.

It sure was nice to see everyone and visit some of the great spots around Rod's cabin.
I have posted one more from Smith Creek below.

This shot was taken looking downstream from the waterfall in Matthew' s shot.
I visited Triple Falls last weekend and your shot reminds me of one of mine. I kept finding myself wanting to cut the very top of the falls off, similar to yours.
That Smith Creek sure is a beautiful area, and it is a lot nicer without that hill to climb on the way out.
Beautiful shots

Very nice. Looks like the tree that was hanging down is gone.
Hey Mike - the tree is still there, just cropped out in Tom's photo. It is going to take a good bit of work to get it out of the way, which I suspect is not going to happen anytime soon (this is on scout property). And it is not in a place where it could be "flooded" out and washed downstream since it is in between the spring output (the waterfall on the left) and the creek flow (the other two waterfalls). The tree was put there - like the ugly green bands on the swans - to help us practice our photoshop skills!

Tom, I like both of these shots. The extraction you made at triple falls in the first image is very nice, I like your choice to exclude the top of the falls.
Tom both shots are really nice. Smith Creek is a beautiful area I really want to explore more. Thanks for the great smokehouse sandwiches they really hit the spot after getting up early and hiking. Hsd a great time thanks for letting me tag along in your rig.

Nice shots here Tom! I usually prefer a bit more on top in the waterfall shots, but you have a nice perspective and you may have eliminated some mess back there. It was nice to meet you and talk about 5D stuff with you. Thank for being one that took charge and help decide on some great locations! And, the smoked meat was tasty!

I thought you might enjoy this shot. Too bad you were in my frame with a sweaty back!

Aaron, that's funny -- I have the exact shot with Matt standing just on the other side of that tree (his back wasn't sweaty though!).
Tom, these are great shots. Glad we were able to get to Triple Falls with enough light left to shoot. Enjoyed meeting you this weekend and hope to see you again soon.
Both of these shots are beautiful. I wonder how the waterfall image would look with just a little more room above the middle waterfall. The composition appears to be a little tight. Still a great shot, though.

Tom,
I got most of my information by watching this video:
http://www.vimeo.com/2373679
MPEG Streamclip is free and works good. You can select all of your video
clips and just drag them into the program. You can convert to a high
quality HD format like what is shown in that video or you can convert them
into a Standard Definition .mov or whatever suits you.
You can also use Quicktime to convert the clips.
Let me know if you need any more help.
Also, where were those two locations that you said have clear water in Arkansas?

Thanks for all the comments. Tim, the shot was camera cropped just to get a different perspective, but what tree are you talking about?
Aaron, I guess that heavy camera pack had me sweating the shot!
Did you get a little clone happy on the tree? I wished it had been flowing like this when Karla and I were there back in January. Great shots!

Hey Tom, Great shots. I seem to remember we were all sweating at the time. Thought you might enjoy this shot of you having a very quiet personal moment with your camera.

Thanks Merle! That was the perfect rock perch. Mike, it was good cloning practice and I can use as much practice in this area as I can get!
Nice shots Tom! Looks like your trip was a successful one! Thanks for hauling us around Saturday. It was a great time..I look forward to seeing more of your work

Looks like the 5DII is in very capable hands!
