We are used to seeing Dan Walters’ fantastic fox images in the Fauna Gallery, but this week he showed he can also make great images of other canines. His post simply titled ‘Coyote’ is a simple, but excellent image of a coyote and his shadow in lovely light on a plain snowy surface.

Mack Barham sure had the funniest post of the week. Not the original, but his repost (which was actually in reply to a comment I made) sure showed us how to deal in a really positive and humorous way with a comment made. His ‘Rough Green Snake + Repost’ is a must see and not only because of the joke, it is an excellent snake image!

Jorne de Bruin has been sharing many images with us already of his visit to the Bavarian Forest National Park in Germany. One by one stunning photographs of impressive animals such as lynx, wild boars and wolves. This week he posted the most spectacular image of this series in his post ’(c) Mine!!!’ An eye-catching action photo that will impress anyone and that has almost made it to be my choice for this week’s EP.

The image that captivated me (and many more people!) most last week was Anthony Gibson’s ‘White In yellow LARGER REPOST’

This photo is not only special because it shows a true albino squirrel, what makes it so special is the sublime framing and composition. This is also a typical example IMO where a centered placement of the main subject can work extremely well. There is nothing else I would like to add as to why this was selected for this week's pick, the sheer beauty of it speaks for itself.

Congrats to all!:toast:

Cheers,

Vincent

Great pick Vincent....interesting to see a less exotic animal chosen. (OK - I guess being an albino, it's pretty exotic, but it IS still a squirrel. )

Thank you Vincent, and everyone else who commented! I was truely overwhelmed by the response to this image. The countless emails I am still receiving have been very kind and supportive. I am so glad everyone liked our little white friends!
