Broadwater Hollow
Two years ago Bill Dark showed me where several columbines could be found in Broadwater Hollow. Since they are my wife's favorites, Saturday evening that's where I headed. I found this one which I could frame against the dark shadows under a rock ledge and FINALLY got the wind to quit. Here's my result.

Very nice, Bruce, glad you got the wind to settle down!

The rich saturated colors really pop against the black bg Bruce. The columbines in my yard are just about ready to bloom too! Thanks for sharing.

Bruce,
These are one of my favorite flowers also. You've done a great job in capturing the delicate stamens.

Hope Sid didn't disturb your sleep too much.

Well done, Bruce. I wasn't patient enough when I tried to shoot the columbine there at Broadwater -- the wind just didn't want to let up so I got up and shot the falls. Looking at this image makes me realize what a mistake that was. Really nice.

Great job in isolating the bloom against a dark BG to really showcase all its glory. I also like the delicate stamens. Nice job.

Nice job with this Bruce. Our Columbines are just now getting started and now I really want to get out there and take a few pictures.

Missed you at the gathering this year Dale. Get some good images of your columbines and let us see them
