Anthony, this is way cool!! The colors and the geometry are intense and very compelling. The log leads the eye nicely, a horizontal horizon of sorts and a vertical bg all combine for a very nice image. I would like to see this bigger.
Thanks everyone, I have a bunch of bluebell comps just narrowing down the keepers. I purposely kept the horizontal fallen tree as it just was cohesive in my eye. Bigger is always better when it comes to prints.
Ill try and work up a larger version if time permits
Wow, the bluebells look like they were at the height of peak.
A suggestion, and a question, to be filed in the "for what it's worth" folder:
1) you might consider a slight perspective correction adjustment. The classic effects of ultra-wide angle distortion are apparent in the "splaying" of the background trees (note how they all appear to be leaning toward the edge of the frame their closer to). In so doing you'll lose a bit off the top, but I don't see that as a detriment at all.
2) while this particular comp is interesting, I'm wondering if you tried any shots using the log as a diagonal element, to lend an additional sense of dynamism to the shot...
I love the colors and the spring feel here. The flowers are gorgeous. I also like the vertical and horizontal lines you've created. The bottom of the frame isn't doing a lot for me, and I think you could crop off the bottom of the frame and still hold everything you have together. Nice find.

Regardless, very nice work.
