An office design company wants to use 2 images to make two 21ft x 9ft wall prints. They are using a digital printing company that will work with my RAW images.
These are images are from a location picked by the design company because the clients vacation there. Probably couldn't find this location on a stock site.
How much show I charge for the digital printing company each RAW file?
Assuming they are only using a copy of your RAW file to create the prints, and then destroying the RAW file and the company will be paying for the print from the printer, then what you have is basically a "usage license fee" similar to a stock company sending out a file for use by a client. In this case the use of the file is a one time use with one print made from each file. You might want to jump on Getty's stock site and see if you can find a usage fee that is a rough match for your situation. Since you won't have to provide the print, just two files for one time use each, the fee would not be real high. Keep in mind one thing that can make a difference is exactly where it will be displayed. Inside their own offices, inside an airport terminal, outside on a billboard, etc. where each use will have a different number of eyes seeing it. The more people viewing the images, the more valuable the use of your RAW file and the higher the rate charged. Hope this helps!
