As a good vulture, I went to Wolf camera to buy stuff as they close stores. I dropped 1.5G's for some lenses. Right now 30% off lenses, and it's probably the last week-end with useful stuff in the store. At that price it's a little cheaper than the cheapest online prices (add 9.25% in CA :( ). They close June 1st.

They carry Canon and Nikon!

I got:
- 50-200 ED-SWD f2.8-3.5 lens
- 50mm f2.0 macro lens
- 1.4x teleconverter
- quantaray QMS-D1 slave flash

Strangely, I first went to a store that stays open, and it was staffed with useless drones unable to provide specs for a point and shoot... No matter it was also not carrying anything worthy of attention.
Then I went to one that was closing, and the person staffing was very nice, and actually seemed to know a tad little bit more. That's where I poked a hole in my credit...

Dan, no doubt close-out sales can provide a real mixed bag in quality & quantity, but it looks like you at least came away with some nice items here.

I went over to the Ritz Camera in Pasadena yesterday after reading this. They didn't have anything of quality related to cameras (low-end Nikons, P&S, Olympus), but I ended up getting a decent HP printer at a low price for my family.
