Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge OPEN
For all of you refuge visitors, the bridge repairs are finished and the Ridgefield NWR is back open. May 1 also finds the Kiwa walking trail open, visitors on the auto tour route are permitted to exit their cars while remaining along roadways and evening closure is now 9PM.
Common Yellowthroats are one of many birds at the refuge, enjoy!

Wow, I wasn't expecting a photo with this. Thanks for the update Craig. Lovely shot, especially since I know these guys are challenging to photograph!

Terrific shot. wonderful detail. Your background really makes the bird standout. :toast:

Tiny nit, probably something only one of us would notice, but I noticed a very dim halo around the bird. mostly the head. looks like it might be from shadow recovery...?

Great Yellowthroat image, Craig. They're one of my nemesis species. I hear them everywhere and am able to photograph them nowhere.

You're sure into a good run of captures lately...
