Cracking idea and the potenial for the shot is there, the quality and the noise lets it down because of the lighting conditions and you know my opinion and that is to keep going back to the same spot night after night and eventually it will all fall into place.
Thanks Danny, been back lots of times for a repeat of this but the weather changes there so quickly, when the sun set's there it has this magical glow to the place/ marshes
A good atmospheric image. The back-lit wings contrast wonderfully against the darker surroundings. Compositionally, my preference would be a small crop from the top and right of the frame, so as to have the bird on, or near to, the top right intersecting third.
Repositioned(thanks justin) neat image applied to combat the noise, big thank you to stewart canham for talking me through neat image, installing, and helping me over the last hour, a true gent and the kind of help thats brillant when you are as new to wildlife photography/Processing as me
Nice one Craig. Sorry just back so first real chance to reply. Looks like your patience is paying off, keep it up. Pleasure to have met you, small world isn't it?
