I had a couple of days recently in Yosemite Valley, after working most of a week in Fresno on a business trip. It was a bit early for most of the blooms, but I found a few here and there. More images from My Spring Trip. Comments/critiques appreciated!

Agreed. "Dogwood Harmony" and "Dogwood Glow" are fantastic. But so is "Gesture" and perhaps my favorite, "Glowing." Great stuff! I like the aspect of the color version of this b&w shot that retains some detail in the deep shadows, and I think the b&w would be better if it did the same. That negative space is just a little too negative for my taste. But man-oh-man, you've got a collection of images to be proud of.

Dogwood Harmony is spectacular, I would be proud to have taken the others as well, but Dogwood Harmony is really special because of the pleasing, flowing background water

"Gesture" gets my vote for #1. However, I could spend a lot of time viewing all of them as they make a very good portfolio of Yosemite, my favorite place to be with or without camera and tripod. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice collection. I have yet to make it there. Your photos make me want to go all the more. I am with the others on the dogwood shots and gesture.

Paul, nice set of images. Like others I love the two Dogwood shots but Glowing has a touch of magic about it - you really caught the light spot on! :toast: Cliff

Nice stuff! I really like the more intimate views. Clearing Storm is awesome, as are the Dogwood images.

Thanks, everyone for the comments and feedback. Todd, some great ideas, I have been playing a bit with both the amount (area) and density of the negative space on the B&W, appreciate the suggestion.

Very nice collection of images. Makes me want to be there. I really love "Glowing." Your capture of the light and detail in the trees is awesome. Those falls are unbelievable! I also like "Dogwood Harmony." Nice DOF there.
