Between storms
Very cool ever changing weather has been happening today. After looking at the Raton Mesa I had a Caudle moment. Here are a few snaps from the various lighting and cloud conditions. Love this kind of stuff! All taken with 5D and 70-200mm f2.8L IS except last one taken with 75-300mm IS.

It HAS been a great few days for this sort of thing, hasn't it?! Nice shots, Pam.I like the moodiness and layers of #3 and your birdie shot best.

Cool shots, Pam. Gotta love the depth those clouds give a composition. Nice Mountain Bluebird as well, although it could have benefited from some fill flash, those birds aren't always cooperative in where they land and they don't stay put for very long.

Cool Caudle moment. I'm going with 5 and the bird.

I like #4, myself :-).
And the bluebird...well, he's kind of like the weather--shady on one side and sunny on the other :-).

Isn't the sky great?!

Cool! (but the bluebird shot is the real winner  ) I had a Caudle moment of my own yesterday--will be posting it later this week

Glad you liked the birdie  I like the way that one turned out too. Actually Dan it's a Western BB. The conditions which gave him some rim lighting is what drew me to capture him. I was surprised as much of his near side showed as did. With all the varieties of birds here I really need to get a great tele lens. The 75-300 just doesn't cut it.
Thanks also for the comments on my take on "the Todd" albeit poor.

I like # 1, # 5, and the bird. The light & sky look great.
