Tawny Owl (c)
Spent a really enjoyable day with Vince at the Barn Owl centre a week ago. Changeable weather but had some great opportunities with various birds this Tawny being one of my favourites.

Thanks Vince for a great day and expect to see some more shots posted here.

Nikon D300, 80-200mm Lens, F2.8, 1/5000, ISO400

Great pose poss a wee bit dark, maybe the light patch in the background doesnt help with this? the green compliments his colours though

Thanks all. It may appear a little dark but that is prob due to my poor raw processing skills or it could have been the light as it kept changing as the wind would bring in large banks of cloud. Maybe when I post some more images from the day they will be a tad better.

Have to say though the d300 and 80-200 lens (pre 70-200 vr lens) coped really well and produced tack sharp images almost 100% of the time which means I have a huge processing pile:frown:

Thanks for the comments.

It's a very nice shot Ben, the perch and setting are very nice.
