Black Winged Stilt
Didn't manage to get out this weekend and now the weather has closed in again - hi, ho. Mike's bw stilt yesterday, reminded me that I had some shots from the Ebro delta last year that I hadn't processed. Flight shots of b & w birds in blazing Spanish afternoon sun aren't the easiest to expose and this was the best of the bunch. A tad blown just under the wing I fear, though.

Black & white aren't easy, never mind in full sun. You've done well. :toast:

Sweat image :toast:

I try not to shoot after 10.00am in Spain, the lighting becomes too harsh and contrasty very quickly indeed

A well captured image and all the more-so given the harsh and unforgiving mediteranean sunshine

Super flight shot Malcolm, the exposure has been handled well and that blood red eye looks very nice.
