Columbines
I spent much of the morning shooting the largest community of columbines I've ever seen. Some of the blooms were a little past peak, but still a lot left to point a camera at.

D2x; 105mm micro; f/11, 3 sec.

Excellent grouping, Bill, you have a knack for catching the water drops on the columbines.

and another thriving group...

Great find Bill. Getting these to stand still for 3 sec is a small miracle.
Excellent balance and background.

Really beautiful Bill, I love the first one, great color and a neat background.

First image is a beautiful columbine composition. I like the DOF choice as well. I'm with Rod on the 3 seconds, it was breezy here yesterday.

Thanks for the comments. Although there was a breeze here Sunday morning, there were water droplets that kept falling from above that would shake the whole flower - making it about as difficult to deal with as the wind.

Great work Bill. I really like the dof you achieved in the first one and your plane of focus insured that all 5 columbine were captured in sharp detail. Thanks for sharing!
