My rip-off of Zack's Rowena flower shot
Sorry Zack. I shot a bunch of different angles, but this is the one that I liked the best. I still like yours better anyway.

I also think I inadvertently overcooked the saturation in the greens a bit. Comments on that?

Thanks to David Cobb for a great couple of days showing the out of town guy all the cool flower spots. I never would have found them otherwise.

Two shot manual blend. I held my hand in front of the sun on the FG exposure to reduce lens flare, which works nicely but is a pain to blend.

Hehe, I love it Sean, and I certainly don't mind anyone taking inspiration from my images. I'm glad you got a great sky to compliment the landscape. the greens look fine to me.

Your blending looks very nice. I think the greens in the immediate foreground are good, and if they need to be toned down anywhere, I would say the mid 3rd of the image is the most likely candidate. But they're not gaudy by any means. Great shot.

Looks great to me Sean, very nice. Another great shot from the "happening" part of the PNW this time of year. I think the greens are just fine. I like the paintbrush too, not a lot of it around yet.

I don' t see any problem with the greens here Sean, it's a beautiful shot. See you next spring in the gorge.

I think it looks great. The greens are fine, and the touch of red paintbrush is a nice detail. If I had to nag about anything, I'd like to see the clouds lightened a bit. The seem to lend an ominous mood to an otherwise very pleasant scene.

Sometimes thievery pays off, Sean! Beautiful and idyllic scene, I think the greens look fine.
