Revision is starting to get heavy, but I was able to get out this afternoon despite the wind, rain and bad light I got a shot I was happy with. There seems to be a few in a patch of reeds near were I live but they are very secretive and like hiding as this image shows!

I got some of the bird on its own (sussexbirdphotography.blogspot.com), but I like this more as it shows how the bird is normally seen. C&C appreciated.

I know how you feel Liam, I have to keep coming on here to give my brain a rest!

I don't usually go for these kind of shots, but this really appeals to me, I like the comp and the feel of the shot, well done.

Lewis.

Difficult bird to get sometime, Nice doffed coverage in the front leading through to the focused bird.
