Just a heads-up on a new initiative getting a ministerial launch tomorrow. Highland Tiger is a project conceived and developed by the Wild Media Foundation to raise awareness about the Scottish Wildcat. With some experts estimating a population of only 400, the wildcat has become Britain's most threatened mammal.
How can nature photographers help? By telling friends, colleagues and family about the plight of the wildcat. And then when they're sick of you going on about it...tell them again.

As for the image...it's been around a while now but features a wild-living pure-bred cat that was tempted by free rabbit close to my home a couple of years ago.
Cracking shot Pete, I wish the project all the best and lets hope we can save this beautiful feline from extinction in the UK now that you and others are starting to bring it to our attention.
can't beat a bit of highland pussy ! My wife will kill me for that ,for those that don't know she's a scottish lassy.Donation sent, I do hope others spread the word and assist as much as they can .Best of luck and well done for championing the cause .I wish it all the best .
