Yeah! That Big Boy dwarfs the others. Was this taken in Grants Grove or?

I like the overall image. However it is too bad the sky got so blown. If you shot in RAW you might try blended exposure here and possibly a reduction in contrast as well.

I know that is one of the hardest parts in shooting these groves. Light and DR can be extreme.

This was taken at the trail of a 100 giants, there was not much of a sky, gray and misty

Yeah, that's big and red. The grey sky helped out the saturation and made the light softer.

Good shot, Danny! By showing smaller trees in the background, you give
proper scale to your central subject. It looks like you had good even lighting
in the lower half of the composition, rendering the Redwood in its true color.

Danny,

This is a great tree. I would try to work this in photoshop a bit and darken the tree and the forest floor.

I also think that you should be happy that you had overcast skies.

Danny,

A very nicely captured and somewhat bold image of the giant Sequoia. As already mentioned, the scale works very well here even without a person or some known element. The smaller, younger trees are dwarfed by this guy. The gray conditions worked well to richen the colors. Nice work.
