Cedar Creek Monday
Saturday and Sunday must have been a real site to see. I had to wait till Monday. Below Lake Bailey bridge at the new wooden bridge was my first stop. And I mean STOP! I saw on other post that hikes along Cedar Creek can be rough on cameras and on photogs (Bob and Tom). It finaly got me today. It's been years since I had my ankle twisted and It happened today going down to the wooden bridge. I hadn't even fired off a shot! I managed some carefully placed shots and headed back to the car. I'm fine! No broken bones. Almost as bad as the boulder that just about broke my leg on Smith Creek at the CSNP gathering the week before. You wouldn't expect a 400lb rock to move. Another lesson learned.

Cedar Creek is high and muddy!

Another of a rock that you might recognize.

Mike where is that rock? I didn't see it along the hike to the falls. Was I that blind? :)

I hiked in from the lake downstream on Cedar Creek to the wooden bridge (5 minute hike). The rock is within 30-40 yards downstream of the wooden bridge.

Most people go from Mather Lodge down the bottom. I like the area above the waterfall.

The first pic was a HDR that didn't work. Here is the single frame. HDR washed out (pardon the pun) the shot.

While the wife is slaving at work, the husband is out almost breaking a leg! That's what you get for going without me
I like the leaning rock picture...It's neat to see it with water running under it.

Great shots...you really get a sense of the power of water here. I really like image number 1 and number 3 How are you getting to post multiple shots here? when I upload from my images I can only post one every 24 hours.

Brian, that was the last time that I was out there. It had just snowed and you had left some tracks behind.

Bob, just below the "reply to this topic" is a browse for jpg. Your simply replying to yourself with a jpg.

I really thought that the water would have cleaned up by Monday, but it was muddy and foamy as could be.
